Me and my partner just spent one night at this wonderful place but will definitely be back and for longer, brilliant location. The lodge is such great value with lots of space but a lovely cosy feel. Would highly recommend and we cannot wait to return in the summer!

Idyllic, cosy place with everything we needed for our stay! Enjoyed drinking hot chocolate overlooking the water and really comfy bed! Marc was really good communicating to make our stay better and visited The Merry Monk which was recommended on the welcome instructions which had great food! Would highly recommend! Thank you

Lovely comfortable lodge in an idyllic setting. We visited in December and it was very warm and cosy, with everything you could need for a relaxing stay.

Lovely overnight stay. Hosts were so great and communication was so easy and fast in response. The place is clean and fully equipped for a nice stay. Board games and great choices of dvds! Nice time off space and peaceful by the water.

Ducks Lodge is a comfortable, relaxing place for a break away from the daily grind. It is in a beautiful, quiet location where you can really appreciate the benefits of nature!

Had a lovely short break at Ducks Harbour. It’s a cosy property in a great location. Loved the fishing and paddle boarding from the back door. Will be back!

This is a lovely holiday lodge in a superb position next to the river lark. It is very quiet and peaceful. The property has Kayaks and rowboats available and we took one up the river for a really enjoyable jaunt. Will definitely be back!

We had an amazing few days in this cosy lodge and Marc was a fantastic host giving us amazing restaurant recommendations (The Merry Monk and Spice Lounge are definitely worth a visit!) and answering all of our questions almost immediately. The self check in and out was very easy and it was an added bonus to have access to the boats which gave us many hours of fun. A beautiful area to row down and lots of friendly neighbours on their houseboats. Also appreciated the magazines and games. Highly recommend!

We had a brilliant time! Marc responded very quickly to our enquiries and was very helpful and accommodating to the requests we made about our visit. Everything we needed was to hand. Really appreciated all the helpful information about the house and the surrounding area which were provided up front and again when we arrived. The canoes were just great fun and really made our weekend special. Thank you.

This is such a peaceful and idyllic spot which is absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway. We wished we had booked a longer stay but had a fantastic time making full use of our time, particularly on the water. Highly recommend taking the boat, kayaks and dinghy out and exploring. Take a stroll around the “block” and you’ll come across a little oasis of homes, on and by the water and will wish yourself living there....Although you feel miles away from the hustle and bustle you have everything you need very close by and are fully equipped in this cosy home. Marc ensured we had all the information we needed and responded extremely quickly. Thank you for hosting us and we would love to return again for longer!!

Great location especially if you like fishing and bird watching as several kingfishers in bank opposite. Nice walks in lovely safe surroundings and a very comfortable place to come back to. Very enjoyable .

I would highly recommend this lodge for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. We enjoyed the kayaking and paddle boarding. All equipment readily available at the lodge. The area is extremely quiet and beautiful. Inside, the lodge is clean with all the essential facilities. There’s Netflix, wifi and board games to entertain the children if the weathers not great.

We had a lovely couple of days staying at this wonderful and tranquil property. Being able to fish and use the supplied Kayaks and Paddle Board was a real highlight. :-)

Lovely location on the river and over looking the river bank. The boats that came with the house were very much enjoyed. We also loved fishing and watching all the wildlife including the kingfishers.

Beautiful location really loved being so close to the river for fishing and enjoying the wildlife. Lovely lodge. Enjoyed the half an hour walk to The Griffin pub with the dog. Great walks along the river. Hardly left the lodge at all.

Ducks Harbour is a beautiful location, we have visiting twice now and enjoy seeing the location in different seasons. The flat has all the amenities you'd need and is a very relaxing place to stay.

We had a great time at Marc's place. The marina was so pretty, sitting outside watching the wildlife was a real joy! Well equipped little chalet with everything you need for a comfortable break. The location was perfect for exploring the local area. We had several day trips to places like Ely and Cambridge, just half an hour's drive away. The kayaks were fun too!

A real gem. The waterside location was idyllic, allowing for many pleasant hours spent watching wildlife and little boats go by. The accommodation was clean, well maintained and had everything we could need. We certainly recommend it. Ben, Jen & Baby Joe

We had a lovely weekend with our young grandchildren. They thought it was a big adventure. Very quiet and idyllic location.

We had a fantastic stay here, great location in a beautiful area. Was perfect for our two kids who spent every waking hour outside picking blackberries, feeding fish and ducks and rowing the boat. Very clean and well stocked lodge.

Marc was a great host and responded quickly to all inquiries. The house was a tad small for the 6 of us, but we made it work. It is a cozy retreat good for getting away to relax. We ate dinner at the Merry Monk, which was absolutely fantastic.

We, my husband, myself and our adult daughter loved our 10 day stay at Marc's place. As we come from Australia, we loved all the bird life and took so many photos. The house is very comfortable and had a great kitchen with everything we needed. We would certainly stay here again if we are in this part of the UK in the future.

Comfortable and cozy, lovely location. It was lovely to eat in the conservatory looking out onto the river.

We really enjoyed our stay, the chalet and the marina are both very relaxing places to be. Loved the walk in shower, and the kitchen was well equipped, as we tended to eat in the chalet. Plenty of interesting walks around the area, the dog had a great time too. Sitting on the chalet decking there is plenty of wildlife activity, including deer, plus kingfishers flying past daily which made it very exciting. Certainly would like to revisit and explore some more of the area.

Nice location and everything u need is provided

We enjoyed watching the view from the lodge, and enjoyed seeing passing gueese and ducks and a swan. We enjoyed the chinese from Bamboo Garden in the village of Islesham, and seeing the Norman priory in passing. The lodge was comfortable, and has excellent media facilities (TV, dvds etc), and sporting activities (boat, fishing). We didn't go out on the boat, with provided life jackets - but would like to visit again and try this. Marc was a very helpful host. We really enjoyed a relaxing stay, and think Ducks Harbour is a beautiful location. Great facilities.

Lovely cosy, in Marina, kids had lots to look at and do (even as weather wasn't great) as plenty of games in house. Local village is really friendly, pubs are excellent, butcher's was really good too. Many thanks for the pleasant stay

Beautiful place by the river! Marc’s place is idyllic and the local pub, restaurant and walking scene makes for a great spot for a quick break or a vacation. Clean, warm, convenient and a real little gem!!

Space, serenity, water pursuits, great amenities, relaxation

Marc’s place was wonderful, we booked for an overnight stay to celebrate my partner’s birthday and the location was extremely quiet and asthetically pleasing. We only needed the one room, but there is room to sleep 6 with ease so we had plenty of space haha! Marc was a great host and communications were fab, we cant wait to return in warmer months.

What a delightful spot! My sister and I stayed for two nights at the beginning of February 2019 Ducks harbour is just as described in the bumph-and literally on the Riverside. We didn't venture onto the river but there were kayaks and a small boat available, should we have wished to do so. The lodge is comfortable and cosy. Although when we stayed it below freezing some of the time; sometimes snowing and; on one day the river was frozen; we were always warm inside. The beds are comfortable. We each had both hand and bath towels and all essential toiletries are supplied. The kitchen was fully equipped with plenty of crockery, glasses, cookware and cutlery. The lounge contained lots of extras in respect of entertainment and the electronic entertainment was varied. Hairdryer, iron and board, as well as washer and dryer in the shed outside...all available All in all-everying you would need for a short and relaxing break. The host's communication both before we arrived and during our stay, was excellent. Swift and helpful responses always forthcoming-very impressive and reassuring. Thank you Marc!

Ducks Harbour is quiet, warm and comfortable. It was really nice to get up in the morning and watch/listen to the birds. We never made it as far as Isleham in the evening but it looked like a lovely village. Enjoyed walking with the dog along the river and trips to the coast.

A lovely place to stay, quiet and peaceful and great for seeing Suffolk. The property is well equipped and homely with a lot of things to do provided; books, games, DVD etc. Close enough to local pubs and the village for a nice walk and the immediate area is tranquil and picturesque. Altogether a wonderful Christmas break and well worth a returm visit in the summer.

This is a really beautiful place. I used it to propose to my partner and we had a lovely time in a beautiful place. Highly recommend!

Marc has a lovely place right on the water with the use of canoes and boats if you want to. The house is very well equipped .and very relaxing easy to find and very peaceful .2 lovely bedrooms with tv . Will be back in the summer months when the weather is better .

We had a really enjoyable short break. Clean and practical space, with everything we needed. Great entertainment system. Fully stocked kitchen. Lovely outdoor space and kids really enjoyed the boats.

Beautiful location! We had such a great stay here. The weather was terrible so we didn't actually leave but the DVD collection was so super we were thoroughly entertained. Marc very quick and easy to communicate with - It was totally straightforward and stress free. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay. Relaxing and tranquil with regular visits from a family of swans and a kingfisher. The fishing is good, even on limited gear we had fun with Rudd and perch, and having use the boats was a wonderful bonus. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit

Idyllic location, saw so much wildlife from the deck including deer, barn owl and warblers, not to mention the swans and geese with their cygnets and goslings swimming up and down in front of us.. So peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed. Thanks for being a great host and providing all we needed for our stay. Weather was glorious, so were able to use the dinghy. Good food at Merry monk , great farm shop nearby . We may be back again!

Lovely place to stay, offering us city-dwellers a fascinating glimpse into the peaceful alternative universe of life on the river (despite being on Mildenhall flight path!). Welcomed by host's representative who was very helpful. We had a lovely time and very pleased with the accommodation and provision of tv, dvd, games, books etc as well as a well equipped kitchen. The locality was perfect, enjoyed walks around the marina and would love to return in the summer fir some boating!
